Industry Relations

Building Tomorrow’s Nanobiotechnology

TOF-SIMS by ION-TOF, Muenster, Germany
One of the main goals of Nano2Life is to promote the creation of an RTD-intensive European nanobiotech-related industry. The translation of science into economic benefits is fostered by facilitating the uptake of technology from cutting-edge academic institutions to key sectors such as health, environment, and security.

SMEs are Nano2Life's preferential partners as they serve as fast and flexible interfaces between the demand of academic research and the claim of industrial market pull. The dynamic interaction with innovative partners from the emerging nanobiotechnology sector boosts our competitiveness, optimizing the time for market actions.

To date Nano2Life counts more than 40 industrial partners 20 of which have signed the Nano2Life membership letter ranging from start-ups to multinationals. The network has catalyzed over 40 joint projects between partners from academia and industry.

Interactive Relationship with Industrial Partners

The relationship between Nano2Life and its industrial partners is unique and interactive, tailored to meet the needs and interests of each partner. Providing information about current research activities and partnership opportunities as well as about available resources is therefore one of our priorities.

Partner companies are invited to participate in all key Nano2Life activities. This includes knowledge transfer and sharing common resources such as ongoing mobility and state-of-the-art training programmes. The access to these activities allows partner companies to expand their technology portfolio. All partners contribute to the innovative projects and are thus broadening their expertise and technology. Getting the latest research updates by attending the meetings with professionals is also a key competitive advantage provided by Nano2Life to its associate members. In addition the participation of companies in EC expert groups and partaking in policy decisions is another benefit brought by Nano2Life to its industrial members.

In short, by interfacing academic research with industrial needs, Nano2Life is the "one-stop-shop" for nanobiotechnological solutions for challenges in medical, environmental and food industries.
